The head of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party, Raila Odinga, has come under fire from Ugenya Member of Parliament David Ochieng, who has vowed not to be coerced into abandoning his support for the ruling party.
Ochieng, a fervent admirer of President William Ruto, stated in a speech at the Sega Polytechnic grounds on Saturday that he will continue to express his opinions freely and will not be silenced by the Azimio chief or anybody else.
He reprimanded Mr. Odinga, saying that the people of the area should now choose new leaders because the previous premier’s time had long since passed.
Despite stating that he is not opposed to the planned protests, the MP emphasised that they will not improve the lives of the populace. He also said that it would be foolish for Kenyans to waste time rioting rather than farming when they have been praying and waiting for rains.
“Protests are fine in my opinion. But, if you are protesting about food and the food is being provided by the shamba, you will have to leave when it starts to rain and go to the demonstration instead. What happened to your brain? He took a pose.
“I want to beg everyone in Nyanza to pray that these rains end soon. Let’s work on our farms first, then go to demonstrations.
