Many comedians and artists were invited to this ceremony on the occasion of Jamuhuri holiday, which marks Kenya’s 60th anniversary of gaining independence, in order to provide entertainment for attendees and Kenyans in general.
Famous comedian and actress Jackie Nyaminde, also known as Wilbroda, attended the festivities. She’s single and ready to date, so she jokingly asked Ruto to find her a husband. She claimed that she was left a widow after the death of her acting spouse, Papa Shirandula.
Wilbroda starred in the popular Citizen television series Papa Shirandula, which aired on Thursday nights. She once performed as Papa Shirandula’s wife, the main character.
Wilbroda jokingly instructed Ruto to locate her a spouse from his group or even one of his unmarried cabinet secretaries.
“Your Excellency, as you are aware, I am a widow who is single and available for dating. My husband, Papa Shirandula, passed away. She jokingly said to President Ruto, “Find me someone from your squad, or even one of your single cabinet secretaries.”
