The CS for Defence Aden Duale has asked the minority leader in the National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi to resign from his position and go home. This is after Wandayi moved to sign the signature of Azimio and his statement that he has returned power back to the people.
The CS for Defence Aden Duale has affirmed that Wandayi has negated article 1(3) of the constitution on delegated power and therefore, he should consider going home. Duale is clear that Wandayi cannot return his seat to the people and continue to lead them.

Opiyo Wandayi move to return power back to the people and continue to remain as a member of Parliament has been interpreted to mean double speak. It’s clear that power can be exercised directly or through delegation and not through both ways.
Kenyans are however waiting for Opiyo Wandayi to tender his resignation to the speaker of the national assembly Moses Wetangula. It’s clear that he has no business being MP yet he has returned power to the people.
