The President Mr William Ruto today made changes to the military, with the changes necessitated by the recent deaths of some of the personnel who were holding those offices. General Francis Ogolla died after the chopper crash that took away his life alongside that of other officers. He was the Chief of The Defense Forces.
Today, the President has promoted Gen Kahiri who will now be the new Cheif of Defense Forces. John Omenda, Fatuma Gaiti, Paul Owuor Otieno are also some of the people who have gotten promotions and or restructured to head other departments.Major General Fatuma Gaiti has been made a commander and posted to the Kenya Airforce.
Kileleshwa member of County Assembly Robert Alai has commended President Ruto for the changes and added that he has used great wisdom to handle the assignment. The whole country was waiting to see how the President would navigate this phase, and so far it seems everything is okay.
