On Friday, July 19th, President William Ruto announced his newly appointed Cabinet. This decision followed the dissolution of the previous Cabinet amid criticism from Gen Z, who had described the former ministers as incompetent, and lacking the necessary expertise to effectively manage their portfolios and address the country’s challenges.

However, President William Ruto’s new appointments have faced criticism, as some Kenyans are dissatisfied with the reappointment of former Cabinet Secretaries who they believe did not perform effectively. In response to Ruto’s decision, some Nairobi residents have expressed their frustration, indicating that they are now well-acquainted with what they see as his deceptive tactics.

Reported by K24 TV, critics have remarked that Ruto’s actions were merely a change in scenery without addressing the core issues, likening it to changing the forest while the monkeys remain the same. They assert that they have been deceived for too long and believe it is time to openly condemn this approach before the situation deteriorates further.

“The lied to us for so long. You cannot lied to my grandfather, lie to my father, lie to me, with the hope of lying to my kids” Nairobi Resident said

They warned that if action isn’t taken now, the same deceit they have suffered from will be passed on to their children. Consequently, they have urged all youths to participate in the planned Tuesday demonstration to protest against what they describe as an oppressive regime.
