Thousands of X (formerly Twitter) users across the globe have reported technical issues on the social media platform.
Through analysis of reports made on Downdetector on Monday, March 10, it was established that the issues began around noon but increased at 1 pm.
For most users, photos and texts were taking more than the usual time to load.
On the other hand, some users expressed that they could not access any media on the platform.
Additionally, the reports were witnessed on both the website and the mobile application.
At the time of publication, officials of the media platform, including Elon Musk, were yet to explain the cause of the disruption.
In recent years, various social media platforms have experienced global outages.
For instance, in 2022, X (which was known as Twitter then) witnessed a mass outage in Africa and Asia.
âEarlier today, we experienced a technical bug that briefly impacted how Tweets were loading for people on Twitter,â read a statement by the company then.
