Rahab, a prisoner at Langata women’s prison narrared how an affair with a boy who was below 18 years landed her in jail.
In a candid interview with Njeraini citu show host Simon Kibe, Rahab revealed that she met the boy at a club in Kisumu while she was partying with friends.
At first, she didn’t know he was below 18 years since he looked mature and had dreadlocks. In addition, he had money and a carwash and barber shop.
The love affair continued for some time until one day when she and the boy were arrested by police. At the station, she was accused of taking advantage of a minor.
She admitted having an affair with him but insisted that she never knew he was a minor. On the court day, the boy was clean shaven and looked younger than when he had dreadlocks.
Rahab ended up being jailed for 15 years. She was only 24 years at the time. She said jail life has been hard and she is wasting prime years that she could have used to work.
She advised young women to be cautious about who they get into love affairs with to avoid ending up in jail like her.
