The former prime minister Raila Odinga has received a major win in his push to have IEBC servers audited.
As relayed by a report covered on the Star Kenya, political Parties Liason Committee has called for the auditing of last year’s august presidential election.
Appearing before Kimani Ichungwah and kalonzo Musyoka’s led National dialogue committee, the committee called for the auditing of last year’s august presidential election saying the move will eliminate doubts and cement president William Ruto’s win.
“It is not too late. We can still do it and put the doubts and arguments to rest,” said PPLC national chair Evans Misati
This comes in line with national dialogue committee’s invitation to kenyans and organizations to present their submissions to the committee for review.
Apparently, this is a major win for Raila Odinga and Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition considering the fact that coalition’s leaders have been demanding the reopening of IEBC servers.
Even Speaking yesterday, Mr Odinga urged kenyans and coalition’s affiliated members to give the ongoing bipartisan talks time refuting claims that he’s considering retiring from active politics.
Ruto’s camp led by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua have instead opposition the move of auditing last year’s august presidential election saying the constitution doesn’t allow that.
