Weekly protests, according to Ruto, will never solve the problem of high living costs. Such protests, according to Ruto, will exacerbate the country’s economy. He went on to say that he has made some significant moves to reduce the cost of living. The president stated that his government has provided fertilizer and seeds to farmers, and that there will be more in a few months.
“The way to change Kenya and ensure food availability is not to wear a sufuria and go to street protests.” It is to take seeds and fertilizer and march on your farm, producing food so that we can end hunger,” he explained.
