Monday, the 13th of January, was indeed a special day for Wambui Kamiru Collymore, who is also the widow of the former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
This is because on the day, is when her late husband was born, and therefore he would have turned 67-years-old if he was still alive today.
Even though Bob Collymore is no longer here with us, Wambui Kamiru Collymore still used the day to celebrate his birthday.
Taking to her X account, the businesswoman infact posted a photo of her late husband that was taken at a previous event that he had attended.
She then accompanied it with a caption saying:
“Happy birthday Mr. C”.
Her post also elicited reactions from some Kenyans on X (KOX), who also joined her in celebrating her late husband’s important milestone as shown in the link below.
It can be remembered that the late Bob Collymore unfortunately passed away on the 1st of July in 2019. At the time of his death, he was 61-years-old.
According to reports, the long-serving Safaricom CEO died after a two-year battle with acute myeloid leukemia, a disease that he had tried to hard to cure by even seeking treatment in England.
At the time of his death however, Bob Collymore had married Wambui Kamiru Collymore for only three years.
The two tied the knot in a private ceremony that was held at their Kitusuru home in 2016.
