Gesabaku Village in Bomachoge, Kisii County was shaken by a disturbing incident after a 46-year-old man was found dead inside his home under mysterious circumstances. The grim discovery quickly escalated into a situation that left the community reeling, as angry villagers took matters into their own hands, burying the deceased inside his living room and driving his family out of the village.

Strange and scary things started to happen after word got out that the man, whose name has not been released, had been killed by unknown attackers.

When the villagers heard the news, they planned to do something very bad, led by a group of angry young people. The locals dug a grave inside the man’s house, which shows how angry and mistrustful people are in the community.

Village leaders then performed traditional rituals before laying him to rest. One of the villagers said, “The young people in the area decided to bury the man in his own house because there was nowhere else to bury him.” This showed how desperate and angry the community was.

As accusations flew, tensions rose even more, with many people in the area publicly accusing the victim’s own family of murder.

People in the village were very angry when the man’s family were kicked out of the community because they were thought to be keeping a dark secret about his death. The terrible event is not unique.

It comes after a string of killings that haven’t been solved in the area, making people feel like the police have abandoned them. In January, a local businessman was shot and killed in a strange way, and the investigation into what happened made no progress.

People in the village were angry that nothing was being done, so they marched to the police station and demanded explanations and quick justice.

“So many people have been killed here in the past few years, and the government still hasn’t done anything,” one villager lamented, voicing the deep-seated anger of the community.

When there was trouble in the village, Gomba Sebbe, who was in charge of the police station, told the people there that the people responsible for the horrible act would be brought to justice after a full investigation.
