Leni did not realise that people in Germany lived differently until she met Vincent Otieno, also known as Vinn, the love of her life. Leni went to the vast Korogocho slum in Kenya to work as an intern. Speaking with Afrimax English, the two revealed that Vinn was performing at a dance event when they first met.

“There are several difficulties in Kibera; going to school results in being pursued. Although I found it difficult, I had to adjust. Vinn said, “Some of my pals became drug addicts, while others lost their lives in criminal accidents.

Vinn began practicing football when he was free because he wanted to avoid becoming involved in any criminal activity. Leni met Vinn on stage when he was dancing at an event. Later, he started dancing, which helped him resist peer pressure. Vinn found himself drawn to Leni’s vibe despite the large number of girls.

“At first, I was drawn to her dancing and didn’t consider love. She later demanded to see my face. I informed her that I was working and requested her to return to the backstage area,” Vinn recalled.

“We decided to go home, but then I thought Nairobi is so big, and I may never see him again so I ran back and asked for his Instagram page,” Leni added. Subsequently, Vinn took off the disguise, shared his Instagram account, and they began messaging. At last, Leni consented to see Vinn.

“I waited for her to respond, ‘I don’t do slum boys,’ after telling her that I lived in the slums. I thought, This chick is going to detest me. It was absurd; they had grown up with restrooms while I had to go outside to take a shower and do many other things for her. I offered her a bucket when she needed to use the loo one evening. Vinn remarked, “I thought she would detest me.”
