This justifies why Wycliffe Oparanya, the ODM party’s deputy leader and the leader of the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance, as well as former Kakamega County Governor Raila Odinga, boycotted the ceremony in Homabay County to officially open the Raila Odinga Stadium.
According to information provided by Eugene Wamalwa, he travelled to Entebbes to offer condolences to the family of former minister Fred Gumo, who had lost his brother Oscar Gumo, together with Wycliffe Oparanya, Busia County Governor Paul Otuoma, and Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya.
“This afternoon, Governors George Natembeya, Trans Nzoia County, Paul Otuoma Busia County, and Wycliffe Oparanya commiserated with the Gumo family in Endebess on the loss of their brother Oscar Gumo.Give him eternal rest. Lord,May Your perpetual light shine upon him.May he rest in peace.” Wamalwa wrote.
Top ODM politicians from Luo Nyanza attended the Homabay County Raila’s gathering, including governors of Siaya and Migori counties, Gladys Wanga of Homabay County, and Moses Kajwang of Homabay County, among others.
