The Nikusaidiaje hit rapper, who is also a Member of Parliament for Mikumi Constituency, went down on his knees on the brink of the New Year to propose to his bootylicious baby mama Grace Mgonjo.
The couple have a daughter together called Lisa.

Just a few days to the proposal, Jay, real name Joseph Haule, wrote a tear-jerking love note to Grace.
He wrote in Kiswahili:

But for the sake of the show, they kept the news hush-hush and only chose to reveal it early this year. In the last few episodes, the couple were filmed going to view the construction of their 3-storey mansion complete with a pool.

2017’s Most Viral Proposal
A Kenyan man identified as George Gitaka broke the internet when his well executed proposal went viral.
With help from his biker friends, GG managed to pull off an epic marriage proposal that has been the talk of the town over the past few days.
The proposal which was held at The Hub in Karen began with some bikers assembling to form a heart shape.
After a short while, his longtime girlfriend Faith Wanjiru (Shiru) was brought into the ‘circle’ and it is then that he went down on one knee and popped the question. And she said “YES!”.
The video of the stellar proposal has been shared widely and it has elicited different reactions from social media users.
While some have praised him for being romantic and thinking outside the box others jokingly expressed their disappointment in him for being unAfrican and for setting the standards so high.
When asked why he went out of his way to propose to his girlfriend in the manner that he did, his response was short and precise:
“The Standards Needed To Match The Lady I Got.”

Grand Proposal At Blackstreet And SWV Concert
Veronicah Wambui was suprised by her fiance when he proposed to her on stage at the Blackstreet And SWV Concert hosted at KICC.
The help of radio presenter Maina Kageni was enlisted.
Maina was the MC of the night, so he made an announced that Veronicah had won the best dressed award of the night and called her on stage to receive her reward. She was dressed in an elegant white dress. Then when her fiance, Peter Irachu joined her on stage for moral support, he changed the script and got on one knee and proposed.
She said, “Yes”.
The crowd was ecstatic. They cheered on the newest couple in town.

The lad, who has worked with some of the biggest musicians in the country including Size 8, Jimmy Gait, and Daddy Owen staged a romantic proposal.
Jacky B went down on one knee asking Brenda Michelle, who is mother of their daughter Iman Atemi Otieno, to marry him.
Gospel singer Pitson was playing a guitar in the background as he popped the big question.
He sought the help of her friends in pranking her that they were going on a normal date at one of Nairobi’s posh hotels.
While they were dining, a certain man walked up to where they were seated and demanded that Jacky B refunds his Sh80,000 that he was supposed to used to record for him a song.

He went out and come back with some men who were pretending to be policemen, to make the narrative believable. They later resorted to solving the ‘matter’ outside the hotel.
While Michelle was waiting and wondering what was really happening to her baby daddy, gospel singer Pitson walked in playing a guitar.
Jacky B walked in moments later looking dapper and carrying a jewelry box in his hands. He then went down on one knee asking her to marry him to which she said YES.
