Cases of people going missing and never being found read like a scene from a movie but for some Kenyan families it’s a reality they are facing.
Their kin went missing under mysterious circumstances and have never been found.
Some of these people include
Dafton Mwitiki
Dafton Mwitiki, a renowned sharpshooter went missing on March 11, 2020.
It is alleged that he was a member of the gang of five that kidnapped the grandchild of the late politician Mark Too in early 2020.
His missing car was found on Kimbo-Kiganjo road in Juja, Kiambu County two days after he went missing.
Dafton was a father of two.
Mwitiki and Steve Mbogo in a past photo, his car was found dumped days after he went missing.
Security Analyst Mwenda Mbijiwe
The security analyst disappeared on June 21, 2021.
Mwenda disappeared on his way to Meru, he was traveling in a hired car. Mbijiwe was a popular TV analyst and consultant who specialized in security matters. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Eye on Security, a security consultancy agency.

Bogonko Bosire
Blogger and journalist Bogonko Bosire went missing in September 2013.
His brother Josh Bosire died of suicide in January 2022. Bogonko’s dad David Bosire died in February 2022.
Family members say David Bosire has been ailing since his son Bogonko who was the family’s breadwinner mysteriously disappeared 8 years ago without a trace.

Stanley Mathenge is the man who vanished from the face of the earth with no clear explanation.
He was never captured – was never found. He just, mysteriously, disappeared.
Mohamed Abdul Kasim(CZars)
The ‘Amka Ukatike’ hoit maker went missing 15 years ago.
Czars disappeared on the afternoon of October 13, 2006.
The young lad had left his dad’s Mombasa Bamburi home for a walk, not knowing he would not return.
He has never been found to date.

GSU Officer Corporal, Joseph Otieno
Before he went missing n July 9th 2021, Joseph had left the GSU headquarters, set to travel to his rural home to see his ailing mum.
The family has done searches in several mortuaries around Nairobi and Kiambu with no success.

He was the State House Deputy Director in charge of Constitutional and Legislative affairs.
It is alleged that Mr. Muriuki was last seen at Calee Confectionery Shop at Pension Towers along Loita Street in Nairobi on December 30, 2013.

His family is still waiting for answers about what happened to him.
In November 2021, videos shared widely on social media, appeared to show the Ethiopian national being kidnapped in broad daylight.
In the middle of a road, just outside Nairobi’s central business district, he is seen being pulled out of his car and bundled into another vehicle that speeds off.
