Earlier, Kenyans took to social media to celebrate the women’s international day, and famous celebrity Esther Akoth was not left behind. Sharing a post on social media, Akothee noted that being a woman is a full time job, as one needs to stand up for herself the moment they are born. According to her, being a woman can also feel like a taboo, especially when she is born among boys.
A female in that situation is always excluded from decision making, and even denied inheritance.Sharing more, Akothee observed that if a woman gets married and things fail to work, she is forced to return to her home where she is considered a failure. She further observed that when she is caught cheating, she is judged harshly while men are considered heroes.
Giving a piece of advice, Akothee asked women to learn to stand up by themselves. She further asked them to take care of themselves. Concluding her post, the musician noted that being a woman is a full time job.
