George Magondu was buried in Nyeri county where a Lot of people came to pay their last respect, like his family, friends, and fellow soldiers from the Kenya Defence Forces. They all gathered to say goodbye and remember fallen KDF soldier.
His wife, Brenda Okello, wore black clothes. She stood near his grave and talked about him. She said he was not just her husband but also her friend. Her words were very touching, and everyone felt sad.
George’s sister, Judy, was there too. She was very emotional when she talked about him. She cried as she remembered the times they spent together. Everyone could see how much she loved him.
During the ceremony, other people also shared their memories of George. They talked about how brave and kind he was. They said he was a great soldier who cared about his country.
As the day ended, George was laid to rest. But people will always remember him. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a caring brother, and a true hero.
