For years, Kenyans have been taking to question the function of the Kenya Film Classification Board. This is because the government organisation does not do anything to help improve the content creation industry in Kenya yet they hit the headlines for disagreeing with creatives.

Yesterday evening, numerous content creators in Kenya, took to share their surprise after receiving demand letters from the KFCB asking them to seek licenses for the media shared by them on their YouTube channels.

Among the Kenyan creatives who took to share the demand letters received was Obinna who is known for his two channels, Obinna TV and Obinnaz. The post shared by Obinna on Instagram seems to have gotten the attention of Senator Karen Nyamu. This is after she took to comment while asking Obinna to inform the KFCB that he had a lawyer known as Karenzo.

Although Obinna might not have taken the opportunity to be represented by Senator Karen Nyamu as the KCFB withdrew the demand letters sent to content creators on YouTube, Senator Nyamu has a rich legal background as she graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Law Degree in 2006.
