The opposition leaders Raila Odinga has just jetted back in country this afternoon from Dubai where he had gone for a vacation.
Upon his arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport in Nairobi, Odinga was welcomed by his co- principals at the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
Among those who were present at the airport was his former Running mate Martha Wangari Karua, Wiper Leader Steven Kalonzo Musyoka, National Assembly Majority leader Opiyo Wandayi, Jubilee’s vice chair David Murathe among other notable leaders.
Odinga later held a brief meeting with his co-principals and maintained to his followers that the Tuesday’s planned peaceful demonstrations will go on as it was communicated earlier.
The former Prime Minister pulled out of the bipartisan talks with President William Ruto citing lack of transparency in talks, which President Ruto only insisted that should happen within the Parliament while Odinga was insisting the inclusion of other stakeholders like religious leaders and other civic society group.
Azimio la Umoja’s main aim for the peaceful demonstrations is pressurize the government to lower down the cost of living, Fair inclusion in the selection of IEBC commissioners and the opening of the IEBC servers.
