Controller of the Budget, Margaret Nyakang’o has finally broken silence concerning 12-hour experience around her arrest by the police officers. According to the report shared by the local media this hour, she was arrested three days ago and arraigned to court in Mombasa.

Nyakang’o, who is now fighting a criminal case against Germany and 10 others dating back 2016 took 498.4 kilometres ride from Nairobi to Mombasa overnight where she was arraigned over charges of conspiracy to defraud, operating an unlicensed Sacco, forgery and uttering false documents.

On that day, Nyakang’o, who was on leave, established that the car were travelling in with his husband was being trailed. When they stopped outside their home, the police officers in that vehicle told her that she was needed to record a statement with DCI offices.The police officers insisted that she had to accompany them despite her husband pleading to offer them her office home, where they would record a statement.
