In a somber response to the recent brutal murder of 20-year-old Rita Waeni Muendo, allegedly at the hands of a Nigerian man, Kambaland politician Miss Mbula Mutula has taken to her official Facebook page to issue a stark warning to young girls about the dangers of online dating with strangers.
Muendo’s lifeless body was discovered inside an Airbnb room in Roysambu, a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community. The politician, known for her advocacy on various social issues, expressed her grief and concern for the safety of young individuals navigating the world of online relationships.
In a heartfelt post, Mutula shared her thoughts on the tragic event, stating, “This Rita Waeni story with a white Nigerian should teach our young generation serious lessons. How do you meet someone online and start dating immediately without a second thought and to make it worse, he’s a foreigner? May her beautiful soul rest in peace.”
The cautionary message extended beyond expressing condolences, as Mutula urged young girls to learn from Rita’s story and exercise caution when engaging with strangers online. She emphasized the importance of taking a moment to reconsider decisions that may make them uncomfortable or uncertain.
“Mutula wants young girls to learn from Rita’s story and refrain from meeting with strangers online. She advises young girls to always give a second thought to something that they found they are uncomfortable with and are unsure of it before making a conclusive decision,” the post read.
