In a bold move against corruption and misrule, Uganda’s opposition leader Bobi Wine saluted the courage of protesters marching against President Yoweri Museveni’s government. Despite facing brutal actions from the military and police, young Ugandans persist, lifting placards and chanting “STOP CORRUPTION.”

Wine condemned the cowardly arrests of young activists and urged citizens to support each other in this critical time. “Our legal and welfare teams are ready to assist those in urgent need,” he assured, emphasizing solidarity.

The protests, initiated by Uganda’s Gen Z, highlight widespread accusations of misrule and corruption against Museveni’s administration. The unwavering spirit of these young activists marks a significant moment in Uganda’s fight for justice.

The world watches as Uganda’s youth lead the charge, demanding accountability and change from a government they say has failed its people.

In my view, this kind of protests mean that people are now conversant with how leadership should be done. Therefore those in power should listen to the pressing issues affecting people.
