On Sunday tight security was witnessed at Uhuru Park ahead of the planned convention by the Gen Zs to celebrate their heroes who were killed during the protests on June 25. For fear of protests breaking out the government deployed anti riot police officers to secure the park preventing anyone from going in.

Even people that came to have fun at the park as it was a public holiday were blocked from getting in despite the county governor Hon Johnson Sakaja stating very well that individuals be allowed in the park. One particular white man has however become the talk of town after he confronted the police at the entrance to the park and proceeded to get in.

The elderly man arrived at the park hoping to enjoy himself only to be stopped by police officers demanding that he doesn’t go in. However, he was not intimidated by their threats and proceeded to walk in. He was spotted taking his phone and recording the officers who kept their distance. He asked one of the officers his name but he did not speak. He then asked them why they were stopping him from getting into the park.

“What is your name? You tell me to go home? Why is he telling me to go home? Why are you telling me to go home?” The man asked as he headed to the park.

One of the officers who seemed to be angered by his confidence asked where the police car had gone to so that he can arrest him. “Ile gari imeenda wapi?” The officer giggled.

Kenyans have praised the man for his confidence. They said that people who arrived at the park on Sunday would have done the same.
