As ousted deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is banking on judiciary to thwart his Impeachment, some Mt Kenya MPs are however demanding the worst for the former Mathira member of parliament.
As reported by Wednesday’s Standard publication, Mt Kenya politician now claims they are pegging their hopes in court.
The MP adds that should Gachagua get a win, then they will be doomed as they won’t have anything to talk about as ground will be hostile.
However should he be Impeached, people might allow them to continue with the political engagements without any fear of rowdy electorates or being booed.
” We are pegging our hopes in courts. If Gachagua is Impeached, our people may find closure and allow us to continue with our engagements but should he be saved, then we are doomed”, a women representative said.
The fear of being booed comes in line with Mt Kenya MPs decision of failing to save Rigathi Gachagua.
On the other side, president William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government yesterday was handed a major win in the legality of housing levy.
The court dismissed petitions filed by Busia senator Okiya Omtatah and others that was seeking to declare the levy unconstituional in favour of millions of kenyans.
