Yesterday, during the burial of his father, Francis Omondi Ogolla, Joel Rabuku Ogolla said that people should stop peddling rumors about the relationship between his father and the President.
Joel stated that the departed General was a very close friend of President William Ruto. Joel’s remarks were aimed at those who were asking many questions regarding the circumstances that led to Ogolla’s death.
Responding to Ogolla’s son’s statements, political analyst Eric Ragalo slammed Joel, saying that Ogolla was a general for Kenyans, not him.
Ragalo asserted that when they are asking for a probe into the death of CDF Ogolla, they are demanding to know the cause of the death of their General.
“He was our General, not your General. He was working for us. He was your father, but he was given to Kenyan, not to you by God. When we ask, we are asking to know the death of our General, not your father. If you don’t want to know the death of your father, fine. Kenyans want to know the death of their General,” said Eric Ragalo, a political analyst.
He went ahead and told Ogolla’s son to stop lecturing those with questions. He stated that if he were at yesterday’s burial, he would have told Joel to sit down and remain silent.
“Don’t lecture us the way you are asking too many questions. If I were there, I would have told him to sit down and keep quiet. If you don’t feel the pain of the death of your father, we feel the pain of our General. As a Kenyan who was under the General, we want to know, but young man if you don’t want to know the death of your father, keep peace,” Ragalo added.
Meanwhile, Ragalo’s remarks come after Dr. Oburu Odinga told Joel Ogolla to calm down and allow investigations regarding his father’s death. Oburu said that the community has suffered political assassinations in the past, and they want to know what killed Ogolla.
