Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii excited Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the crowd during the official opening of Eldoret National Agricultural Society of Kenya Show, Uasin Gishu County.
Governor Bii during his speech while welcoming Gachagua excited the crowd as he told the DP that he will look for a land in Uasin Gishu so that he builds a house for the DP to stay in the county.
Bii said they are used to being close to power but now that William Ruto became President, he is no longer visiting the county frequently.
But in order to feel the county is close to power, the governor on a lighter note told DP Gachagua that he will find for him a house in Uasin Gishu so they can work together in developing the county.
The crowd laughed and Gachagua in the video is also seen laughing when the governor told the DP that he should not worry since the county has been used to having top leaders saying Uasin Gishu is a royal county.
“We welcome the deputy president to Uasin Gishu, and I only have one debt with you and that is to look for land for you so that you live here,” said Governor Bii amid laughter from the crowd.
“We are used to staying with leaders here but now that Ruto has become President he is far away. So you should come and stay here with us, this is a royal county, we are used to staying close to power,” added Bii as the crowd and DP Gachagua laughed.
