Kajiado Central Member of Parliament, Elijah Memusi, will be burying his late wife Stella today.
The body of the late was picked from Lee Funeral home and family and friends will lay her to rest at their Kajiado farm.
In his tribute, Memusi mourned his wife describing her as the one who has always held the family together.
“Baby girl” he began his tribute.
“Whenever I called you you would smile and my heart would beep. We have shared love and friendship that surpassed all challenges that came our way. The love and friendship that you gave all of us are what we see through all this difficult time.”
The MP said the couple always spoke about the eventuality of his death, and he never thought it was her who would leave him first.
“We have always prepared how you will take care of the kids in case of my absence but never imagined you gone. We never prepared for this. You, however, laid a solid foundation of love and friendship which as a family we shall build on and cherish forever.”
Adding,
“I love you my baby gal and I shall take care of our children the best I can. Dance with the angels my baby You remain deeply engraved in my heart. Fare thee well till we meet again.
Stella’s death was confirmed by Kajiado County Commander Muthuri Mwongera last week.
Mwongera said the vehicle that she was travelling in rammed into a lorry killing her on the spot.
The stretch along the Namanga Road is known for many tragic accidents and Stella’s car, a Nissan Patrol, had just taken the slope between Kenchic and Ummah University as they headed towards Kajiado town.
Isinya police in a statement said that at 23:10 hrs, on Monday, Stella’s vehicle hit at the rear right side angle of a stationary trailer in the middle of the road.
It was after that huge bang that Stella’s body was found lifeless in the wreck.
According to the police, Stella was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kajiado referral hospital while her driver was admitted to the same facility.
