Media personality Adelle Onyango has shared insights on her childhood days.
Born in February 5, 1989, Adelle recalls playing by herself since she was the lastborn in her family.
“We grew up in Karen. Being a lastborn…your older siblings don’t hang out with you coz you are not cool. My imagination and creativity had to come alive back then,” she said in an interview on CTA.
Being a posh estate, Karen is associated often associated with wealth and lavish lifestyles.
However, Adelle’s home was a simple one, surrounded by mansions.
“It was Miotoni road…back in the day, there were thugs. When you say Karen people think affluence and money. We were in a very humble home…a two-bedroom cottage. But I did not think it was less then, my mum made it so warm and cozy,” she explained.
The ‘Legally Clueless’ host said she would enjoy watching Maasai guards hyping themselves up before starting work in the evening.
Adelle is fond of sharing memories of her mother, and not her father. Why?
“My dad was part of the not-so-good part of my childhood. He wasn’t a good husband at all and was not a good father in that regard. Because if you treat your children’s mother in an abusive manner, then that means you are not being a good father.”
