Kabando Wa Kabando insists that the way forward is to hold a structured National Dialogue, preferably one leading to the establishment of a Government of National Unity. Azimio’s failed campaign was due to his ineptitude, internal policy contradictions, and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s continuous presence in the background, posing a long-term issue that no candidate was willing to address.

Voters ultimately chose between “the hard place” – Raila Odinga, and “the rock” – William Ruto, a difficult decision for many. The Kenyans, who had just witnessed the famous “Handshake” between President Uhuru and Raila, don’t want another coalition government.

It is crucial that this structured dialogue take place in order to create national unity. All sides must agree on a common way forward that is mutually beneficial to all parties involved. Such dialogue will restore the faith and hope of the citizens and give them confidence that all matters are being taken seriously by their leaders.

With structured National Dialogue and the potential for a Government of National Unity, Kabando Wa Kabando is hopeful that Kenya will make strides in overcoming their political deadlocks. This can only be done by putting the nation first, and working together to ensure a brighter future for everyone.
