The senate today is discussing the impeachment motion of the deputy governor of Siaya county. The deputy governor was found guilty of gross violation of constitution and misuse of office by the committee formed by senators.

Boni Khawale has however revealed that the committee might have voted in a different way and it was important for them to get accurate information. He was keen to note that five people voted against the impeachment motion while six of them wanted the impeachment to proceed.

He went ahead to note that the report might not be accurate and it may not inform the debate. He went ahead to note that the report might have been drafted to mislead the house and influence the voting process that is going to take place at the floor of the house.

He requested the speaker of the Senate to make a ruling on the report before they proceed with the impeachment process of the deputy governor. This is expected to be a far between the two coalation at they determine whether they are going to carry out the impeachment process or not.
