Isiolo is currently under strict security following the arrival of Professor Kithure Kindiki, the cabinet secretary for interior and national administration, who was welcomed with open arms by Isiolo County Governor Abdi Guyo.
After the cabinet secretary arrived for the start of the operationalization of Cherab Sub County, the commissioning of the Sub County Headquarters, and the installation of the First Deputy County Commissioner, NGAOs and police gained control of the region.

The CS’s visit came only a few hours after he paid another unexpected visit to the immigration office at Nyayo House in Nairobi to check on the progress of passport applications that he had pledged to expedite.
At the Immigration department, which he had previously described as a crime scene, the CS has adopted a strong posture.
