Francis Atwoli has today met with Raila Odinga where they have spoken and listened to each other face to face. While at this point, Atwoli has done a memorable thing by going straight to the point to tell him what he heart was holding onto.
In a statement issued by Atwoli, he has told the opposition leader to stop forcing them to live in a state of denial when it is just clear that the one they were competing against is the president.
Atwoli has also told Raila about Ruto’s recent move to start fighting against cartels and has even given them three conditions such as taking them to jail or they should decide to leave Kenya.
According to Atwoli, he can’t go against the government because he defends the affairs of workers and there will be a problem if he does so since the cabinet secretary for labor is appointed with the president.
“Wewe bado hujabelieve ya kwamba he is the president. Why do you want us to live in denial? Na vile mwenzangu kutoka Uganda alisema, nisipoingia pale waziri wa labor yeye ndiye ameappoint. Akimkataza usikutane na hawa watu COTU nyinyi wafanyakazi mtapata wapi mshahara? Sisi mara nyingi tumesema wezi na macartels wapelekwe Kamukunji wanyongwe ndio wanaharibu uchumi wa Kenya. Sahi Ruto ameanza kutumia hiyo lugha anasema kama wewe ni mwizi ama wewe ni cartel ni jela ama uhame Kenya ama uende mbinguni. Unaweza kurudi utetee hao macartels?,” said SG Francis Atwoli.
