Goerge Wajackoyah, a presidential hopeful for the Roots Party, has shared information on a meeting he had with Deputy President William Ruto and his wife Rachel Ruto.
Wajackoyah said in a Wednesday, June 29 interview with NTV that he had lunch with Ruto when the DP was being tried by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Wajackoyah alleged that a friend of theirs set up the meeting and that the Deputy President told him he needed a lawyer to represent him at the ICC.
Wajackoyah claimed that other commitments prevented him from having the chance to represent the Deputy President at the Hague at the time.
Wajackoyah explained to NTV reporter Mark Masai that he was not supporting Raila and that he was merely attempting to connect with the audience.
The interesting presidential candidate was responding to a query regarding remarks he made in Kisumu county in which he asserted that a victory for him would also be a victory for Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate for Azimio La Umoja, and vice versa.
He believed that because he was in Railaâs territory of Kondele, where he was speaking, the crowd would not become hostile.
âWhen you saw me sleeping on the car in Kisumu, I was talking to Raila in a dream, and he told me heâs pushing me to be the president,â he said.
He also disputed claims that he had been bribed and claimed that a woman was sent to ask him to drop out of the race but he refused.
âThey wanted me to campaign against another presidential candidate, they look at me as a spoiler, they think I donât have the audacity of winning this election. Time will tell who the lady was⌠I chased her away,â he said.
âFor me to take Sh200 million to kill the dreams of these young people who believe in me, come on,â he added.
