On Wednesday Kenyans on the internet were left talking after reports revealed a grisly accident that had happened along Mombasa Road. A brand new Range Rover sports car that was being transported to Nairobi had an head on collision accident with a lorry and it was badly destroyed.
The two occupants of the Range Rover died on the spot. Lawyer Wahome Thuku has come out to allege what happened before the accident. He said that the car driver had been speeding and harassing other motor vehicles for being slow. He says that the driver allegedly flashed at an old car and overtook it. Moments later the car crashed.
“Seven minutes before this happened, the driver had probably flashed headlights at an old Toyota Corolla that was obstructing his way. The Toyota driver was probably an old man who has been on the road for 50 years.
This one had probably closed in at the junk ahead almost asking, “do you know who I am” and intimidating him to get off the lane. He had then, probably overtaken the car with the swag and the next and next, wondering when they will ever get to wherever they were going. Well, everyone got to where they were going including him.”
Given the immense damage causes om the vehicle, Kenyans have said that it was driving at a very high speed. It is not easy for a big car like the Range Rover to incur such damages during an accident if it is not speeding.
