Jamaican dancehall star Adidja Palmer better known as Vybz Kartel has been released from hospital, this is according to Loop Jamaica.
The outlet reports that Kartel was discharged from the University Hospital of the West Indies on Tuesday, March 5.
Kartel had been rushed to the facility where he had been hospitalised since Sunday, March 3, after developing a thyroid-related illness.
âHe is doing much better now, he has been discharged from the hospital, and we hope that he can maintain good health,â said Valerie Neita Robertson, Kartelâs lawyer.
He was reportedly taken back to the St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre in Spanish Town where he is serving life imprisonment for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
The self-proclaimed âWorld Bossâ was found guilty of killing his associate at his house in Havendale, Kingston, in 2011. Police claim Kartel’s pal was was killed for stealing two guns.
He will be eligible for parole after serving 35 years.
