rans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has left Kenyans on social media talking after photos and videos of him enjoying a traditional Luhya busaa drink went viral on social media.
In the videos shared, the governor could be seen sipping the traditional brew together with a number of Luhya elders, as they celebrate traditional circumcision ceremony among the Bukusu people of Western Kenya.
The Governor could be seen holding a traditional drinking straw as he enjoyed the drink. He then passes the straw to another elder who sips in turn as they chart the evening away.
This is the month of August, which is usually a circumcision month among the Bukusu people, who majorly reside in Kakamega, Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties.
It is one of the most envied moments among the Luhya community as this brings together the community as they observe this very important tradition.
