President Ruto today arrived at Kibera and inspected the ongoing construction of Kibera Soweto East Affordable Housing Project. During the inspection Ruto bumped into mjengo workers who were going on with their work. One of the worker got over-excited upon seeing the President.
The worker who identified himself as Moses, started praising President Ruto. He revealed that he has only been seeing Ruto on TVs and was excited to meet him face to face.
The worker excitedly said that since he has seen President face to face, he knows that he won’t be left without something. He even urged Ruto to take his number, leaving those around in stitches
“Nashukuru hii mradi lakini usiniache hivo. Hapana Mr. President Mimi naitwa Moses Onsele, number yangu ya simu naeza kukupea. Mr President Tuconnect, baana” The worker said causing laughter.
However President Ruto who appeared to be in hurry left the excited mjengo worker in suspense.
“Mr. President Unaniacha hivyo” Moses shouted in despair as President Ruto walked down the stairs. It’s however not clear whether President Ruto’s handlers sorted the excited mjengo worker behind the scenes, as they were not seen on camera offering him money.
