Experienced political analyst Herman Manyora has stirred up controversy with his most recent remarks on his YouTube channel on former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s secret card in the general election of 2027.
The contentious analyst speculates that the outgoing head of state may be preparing Fred Matiang’i, his former cabinet secretary for interior and coordination of national government, to challenge incumbent President William Ruto in the next elections.
According to reports, Matiang’i, also referred to as the Super CS, may be the candidate to challenge the Head of State in 2027. Until Azimio appeared, there were rumors that Mutahi Kagwe would be replacing Matiang’i as depute.
Given that Matiang’i has been identified as one of the most qualified candidates to succeed William Ruto in the wake of the recent protests, Manyora thinks that Matiang’i’s recognition could work to his advantage.
He feels that in order to unite support from the affluent Mount Kenya region, former President Uhuru Kenyatta would choose his son Muhoho Kenyatta as Matiang’i’s running mate. The Professor believes that the Mount Kenya region will turn into an open battleground for the Kenyattas to control if Gachagua is chosen as Ruto’s running mate.
