For over 20 years, he made a name for himself as one of the most effective and aggressive adminstrators in the country. Subtly, he won the trust of former President Uhuru Kenyatta who picked him for a top government position.
Wanyama Musiambo would go on serve as the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner until 2018 when he was appointed by Uhuru for a more powerful position.
As Rift RC, Musiambo was the face of Uhuru in the volatile region especially in the troubled North Rift region.
The seasoned adminstrator became the engine running operations against the runway insecurity in the Northern frontier counties. Perhaps, this is what won the trust of Uhuru, who promoted him to the position of deputy Head of Public Service. In his new position, Musiambo was very close to power as he was stationed at State House.
But in 2022, soon after President William Ruto took over the reigns of power, Musiambo was among those who were kicked out as the new President stamped his authority. His powerful post was handed to former Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok.
Over one year later, the former highly dependable adminstrator and security chief has gone silent sparking speculations on his whereabouts as he finds himself languishing in the cold. Before that, he had served in thr same position in Nairobi.
