After President Uhuru Kenyatta was impressed by the stage performance of Daniel Owira, a Highway Secondary School student back in 2013, he took it upon him to ensure he never lacks anything.
Owira recited a hilarious poem entitled Otongolo that left president Uhuru in stitches.
At the time, he was living in Fuata Nyayo slums in South B when he met the president and his life changed for the best.
Uhuru paid for his education in high school all the way to college where he studied journalism, film and animation.
Beyond that Uhuru has been keeping tabs on what Owira is doing.
Yesterday, Owira was invited for a luncheon meeting with all Principal Secretaries (PSs) to discuss the progress of national Government projects.
Led by Interior PS Dr Karanja Kibicho, the Chairperson of the National Development Implementation Technical Committee (NDITC), the PSs assured the Head of State of their commitment to ensuring that ongoing projects in their respective State Departments are successfully delivered.
On his part, President Kenyatta thanked the PSs for the successes achieved by his Administration and urged them to ensure that all pending Government projects are fully implemented.
