Retired Following a raid by detectives at his son’s home in Karen, President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke to the media on Monday. According to the former head of state, the invaders intended to hide weapons and drugs at his son’s home.

Uhuru Kenyatta also admitted that he hasn’t spoken with former president William Samoei Ruto on problems facing the nation or their relationship since he left office.

Their relationship appears to have gotten worse over time, especially after President William Samoei Ruto assumed office. The two had a falling out years ago when William Ruto was the Deputy President.

There is no need to ignore current President William Samoei Ruto, according to Uhuru Kenyatta, who said that he travelled to meet with former presidents Daniel Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki.

“I can’t ask myself to talk to him, but if he invites me, I’ll go because he’s my president. I frequently sought counsel from Moi and Kibaki, he claimed.

Additionally, Uhuru Kenyatta dismissed claims that he is supporting the anti-government demonstrations in Azimio la Umoja. He asserted that he stands to gain nothing from the ongoing anti-government demonstrations.
