Elgeyo Marakwet Women Rep Hon. Caroline Ngelechei has reportedly been involved in a road accident.
According to reports, the UDA party Woman MP was involved in the accident along Kapkoi-Talket road. However, the legislator together with the driver are said to have escaped unhurt and are currently out of danger
It was not immediately clear what caused the accident along the murram road in Elgeyo Marakwet. From photos shared online, the MP was driving onboard Toyota Prado car model, which overturned along the rusty road.
This is not the first time that bad fate has caught up with the woman MP. She first got the headlines in 2022 after suspected bandits ambushed her campaign team in Arror.
She however survived the incident and embarked on her campaign to win the seat in August 2022. She recently joined President William Ruto and DP Rigathi Gachagua at Chepkorio in Keiyo South for the final send-off of late Marathon World Record Holder Kelvin Kiptum.
