It was a rather unlucky day for two suspected cattle thieves as their fourtieth day had finally come. The two were caught with stolen cattle near Mathioya rive along the Muranga-Sagana road. The mob showed no mercy on them as they were both beaten to death and set a blaze alongside the lorry they were using to transport the stolen animals.
According to a report on Kameme FM official Facebook page, the two had allegedly stolen the cattle from Gakonya area, Gaturi ward in Muranga county and were on their way to sell the animals.
Netizens have reacted to this story with majority agreeing with the mob as cattle rustling in the central region has become very rampant these days especially during this festive season as demand for cattle is high.
