Kenyans on Facebook have come out to criticize the interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki’s remarks about Wednesday Anti-Ruto demonstrations. According to Kenyans who seem to be Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance party leader Raila Odinga supporters, Kithure Kindiki’s remarks will not stop them from protesting.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki warned the opposition against their planned Wednesday protests that it will not be business as usual. Kindiki said that the government is ready for Azimio demonstrators and will deploy anti-riot police officers across the country on Wednesday as early as 1am.
“I hear that they are threatening to go on their looting spree on Wednesday. We are ready for them. We will deploy (police) from 1 a.m,” said Kindiki.
Kindiki further added that during the three days, there will be tightened security to ensure no property is damaged by the protestors. “We will not allow looters, criminals to have their way,” he added.
Azimio said their anti-Ruto protests will proceed on Wednesday after the failed 3-day demonstrations last week. “Tukutane Mapema. (See you early),” responded Peter Mutie.
