News anchor, writer, and journalist Swaleh Mdoe is from Kenya. He oversees the Citizen TV Kiswahili news department as managing editor.In 1996, Swaleh completed his KCE while attending Tudor Day School in Mombasa. At the Media Institution, he had the opportunity to continue his studies for the Diploma in Human Rights and Media. From 2003 to 2005, Swaleh attended Malaspina University College to complete a Bachelor of Communication in Media Studies.
Beginning in 1995 and working for the BBC from that time until 1999, Swaleh first worked as a Swahili reporter. Later, Swaleh became a presenter for NTV, where she worked from 1999 to 2001.
From 2001 through 2007, he worked as a local news anchor for KTN. He began working for Royal Media as a local news anchor in 2007. On Citizen TV, Swaleh hosts the Swahili news and is well-known for his program “Tafakari ya Babu.”
Every month, Swaleh makes about 800 000 Ksh.Swaleh Mdoe and a few other journalists were fired from Citizen TV in April 2015 due to charges of corruption. According to reports, the journalists in this case accepted a money from a politician to bury a story that had already been broadcast.
There is a time he announced on his social media sites in 2018 that he was planning to sell his kidney. He acknowledged having money issues that needed to be resolved.
At least six of Swaleh’s works have previously been released. In 2018, his sixth book, “Mpira wa Killo na Wenzake,” was released.
