Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has announced the introduction of green-coloured number plates that will be issued to motorists who own electric vehicles in Kenya.
Speaking during the launch of the e-mobility policy at KICC on Wednesday, March 27, Kipchumba Murkomen announced that the number plates will be issued to Kenyans who own electric motorcycles all over the country.
He added that motorists who currently have number plates that are coloured in different shades of green will have to apply for new number plates an incident that has caught the attention of several Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to speak on this.
According to the reports given by most Kenyans, they claimed that it is so unfortunate that this Is happening at the same time when the government has revealed that Kenyans will be paying to renew driving licenses.
Taking to his different social media platforms to confirm this news, blogger Mutai Abram has stated that these Licence are going to expire after two years.
