A young lady was stabbed to death by her boyfriend at her workplace in what is suspected to be a case of love gone sour.
The incident took place at Jawabu Shuttle booking office in Kiminini.
According to witnesses, the man stormed the office where the woman was working and a quarrel ensued between them.
The man then pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the woman multiple times, leaving her in a pool of blood. The witnesses said they heard screams and commotion inside the office and on checking they saw the assailant attacking the woman.
The victim was rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
An irate mob that had already gathered at the scene cornered the suspect and attacked him before police arrived.
Police who visited the scene of crime said they have not established the motive of the murder but suspected love triangle as the reason. The man, who sustained injuries from the mob beating, was taken to hospital where he is under close watch by police officers.
