The family and National Police Service are mourning the sudden death of a police officer who collapsed and died in Kiango, Magena area of Kisii County.
Sergeant Good Mufoya, who was in charge of the Kiango Patrol Base, died after collapsing outside his house.
According to preliminary information, the officer had stepped out of his home to respond to a phone call when the incident occurred. Efforts to save him were not successful, and he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
The cause of his death has not yet been established. His body was taken to the local mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted to determine what led to the tragic incident.
Colleagues described Sergeant Mufoya as a hardworking and reliable officer who served with honor. Many remembered him as someone who was committed to maintaining peace and security in the area. His leadership at the patrol base was respected, and his absence will be deeply felt by the officers who worked under him.
