Police in Nairobi are looking for an unknown vehicle that killed a businessman in a clear case of hit and run.

Reports show that Joseph Njau met his death in Dagoretti while walking along the road with his younger brother.

Njau was heading home from work when the said vehicle hit him from behind leaving him with serious injuries.

With the said vehicle failing to stop after the accident, good Samaritans rushed the victim to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to brain injuries. His brother was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment.

Police are urging anyone with information on the hit-and-run accident to contact them so that they can patch up the few details we have. The police are set to review CCTV cameras on the highway to establish the motorist behind the incident.

Consequently, the family is demanding to be issued with a detailed police report on the accident.

Hit and run is still the leading cause of fatalities on Kenyan roads.
