A first-term MP who runs a chain of businesses has of late become naughty and a nuisance.
He is said to have recently intruded upon businessmen and ladies who were having an evening drink and chat at a popular joint in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
The legislator, known in political circles as Mr. Moneybags, insisted on picking up their tab. They declined, saying they were fine and could settle their own bill.
But the tipsy MP asked the group to applaud him. They declined. Infuriated, the MP called the management and cleared their Sh50,000 bill.
The businessmen and ladies were not amused after the politician demanded an audience with one of the ladies at the table.
After the lady punctured his ego, the MP walked off in indignation and told his bodyguard and driver they should never visit that hotel again.
